The Coverage Rate of Iodized Salt Get Increased in Qinghai Province

       During recent years, the salt industry in Qinghai province is developing with scientific ways. They are keeping government monopolized sell of salt, and totally forbid illegally salt selling as private business. The government of Qinghai province is positively promoting modernized sell of slat, and they are doing effort to increase the coverage rate of iodized salt.

       According to the report from the survey (Coverage Rate of Iodized Salt 2007) by the government of Qinghai province. The coverage rate of iodized salt in Qinghai Province is 92.7%, the consumption rate of qualified is 87.8%, and the qualification rate of iodized salt is 94.6%. The rate of non iodized salt was decreased in Xining, Huangnan, Hainan, Haibei and Haixi compare with 2006. Furthermore, the consumption rate of qualified iodized salt was increased in Xining, Huangnan, Hainan, Haibei and Guoluo compare with 2006. However, the coverage rate of non iodized salt in Yushu, Haixi, Guoluo and Haibei is still larger than 10%.
