TEN IMPORTANT EVENTS FOR NUTRITION INDUSTRY IN THE YEAR OF 2007

       In order to advocate the theory of “Nutrition Industry is an Important Industry for People” which was proposed in the Third Nutrition Industry Forum to the public, increased the concern of nutrition industry, awareness of nutrition and health by the mass, and improve the health level of people. Center for Public Nutrition and Development (PNDC) reviewed and concluded all events for nutrition industry which happened in the year of 2007 together with journalists from Medias and professional experts from nutrition industries, and finally selected 10 important events which are widely concerned by the public, and have huge impact on the nutrition industry. Furthermore, all titles of these 10 events are listed below:

I      The Oligo Project for the Improvement of the Nutrition of People was Launched

II      Chinese Government Published Seven Laws and Regulations about Food Nutrition

III     The Activity of Advocacy Year for Fortified Food 2007 was Conducted

IV    The Sale of the Book “Milk is Baneful” by Lin GuangChang Decreased a lot

V    the Report of Survey for the Nutrition Situation of Children in China From Different Income Class was Published

VI    China Built its First Rice Grain Factory

VII   The Capital City’s Almanac for Chinese Nutrition Product and Brand was Published

IIX   The Final Winners of the Health Picks Program were elected; They are the Prolocutors of Fortified Food

IX    The Third Nutrition Industry Forum was Successfully Held

X    The Diet Directory Guide for Chinese Resident was Published
